DLA Piper
DLA Piper
Break into Law is DLA Piper's global initiative focused on removing barriers to careers within the legal sector for underrepresented young people

As a global business law firm, improving equality, diversity and inclusion within the legal profession is a significant priority for us. Break Into Law   involves a variety of programmes run throughout the world including mentoring, work experience, CV and interview skills workshops, research, thought leadership events and scholarships.

As part of Break into Law and our membership to PRIME, we run week-long work placements for non-privileged young people to give them a chance to develop their skills and abilities whilst learning about the opportunities available to them in our profession. Volunteers from all areas of our firm take part in our work experience by delivering interactive, skills-based workshops for the students. Students' feedback has revealed that they feel participation has helped them to develop their employability skills and increase their understanding of the skills employers are looking for.
